The bodies of a man and a woman were discovered on the side of the Salome Highway early Tuesday morning. MCSO spokesman Deputy Joaquin Enriquez said they had been shot. There is a ranch and a few houses across the street from where the bodies were located.
Sheriff’s detectives have been working feverishly on the double homicide in Tonopah which took place on Tuesday morning. Deputies have identified the bodies found as 18-year-old Jesse Romero of Litchfield Park and a 17-year-old female who will remain unnamed due to her age and family wishes.
The two were victims of a shooting near 411th Avenue and Salome Highway in Tonopah. Salome Highway was closed between 411th Avenue and 393rd Drive.
