Sun Tran Manager Apologizes, Tucson Council Mostly Mute

As Tucson City Council members hide behind legalities during the transit strike in the hopes that no one will hold them respoinsible for the debacle they created, Sun Tran General Manager Kate Riley issued an open letter to the community apologizing for the situation and reassuring the public that Sun Tran is working to expand the current limited service for major routes.

Nine routes are running 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays.

“I do personally apologize for the difficult burden this has placed on all of our riders,” she said. “Rest assured, we will continue to work with the federal mediator to get back to the table and resolve this issue.”

The letter reads:
