Arizona’s Drew Ryniewicz stole America’s heart as a top 6 finalist on X-Factor in 2011, and will steal it again when she kicks-off NASCAR’s all-important race, the DAV200, at the Phoenix International Raceway, with the national athem.
The semifinal race in the NASCAR XFINITY Series season, the DAV 200 is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 14 at 2:00 p.m. MST (4:00 p.m. EST) and will be televised live on NBCSN.
The talented young singer from Chino Valley burst onto the national scene in 2011 as a 14-year-old when she captured the attention of millions of fans with her unique and soulful renditions of songs such as Justin Bieber’s Baby on “X Factor USA.” Her popularity with the show’s viewers was so strong that host Simon Cowell declared that she was “now known simply as ‘Drew.’”
Since her season on “X Factor USA,” Drew has released her first EP, “Hello it’s Me,” performed across the country, and spent time in Nashville and Los Angeles writing and recording. She recently released a new original single titled Ugly off of a new album set to debut in early 2016. She has also been on tour for the last several months performing and speaking to teens about bullying.
Not only does her Pop/AC sound have industry experts on the edge of their seats, Drew is also a bit of a NASCAR enthusiast. She currently sits in second place in the NASCAR Celebrity Fantasy League.
“Well, I can’t say I’d give up music for racing, but I have to say I get pretty excited by the speed,” says Drew. “And some of the drivers definitely can turn your head!”
