19 Year Old Arrested In Tucson Murder, Robbery

Malick Fuller, age 22, has been identified as a suspect by the Tucson Police Department in homicide that occurred Thursday night in the 5500 block of East 14th Street.

On November 12, 2015, around 9:45 p.m., officers responded to a report of a home invasion and assault in the 5500 block of East 14th Street. Upon arrival, they located a 73 year-old male and a 56 year-old female both suffering from injuries related to the assault. The Tucson Fire Department arrived on scene and transported both the male and female to Banner University Medical Center. The female sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. Sadly, early this morning the male was pronounced deceased at the hospital. He has been identified as Biven Dryden. Next of kin has been notified.

Detectives from the Tucson Police Department’s Homicide Unit, Aggravated Assault Unit, Home Invasion Unit and Night Detectives Unit responded to the scene to continue the investigation. They learned the male and female were inside their residence when an unknown male entered through an unlocked door. The suspect demanded money from both the male and female while assaulting them at the same time. The suspect fled the area on foot and the victim’s called 911. Officers quickly contained the area and additional K-9 Unit officers assisted. A comprehensive search was conducted and the suspect was located a short distance away. The male attempted to flee but was taken into custody with the assistance of the canine.

Fuller was arrested and booked into the Pima County Jail for 1st Degree Murder, 2 counts of Aggravated Assault and Attempted Armed Robbery. The detectives are asking if anyone has additional information related to this incident to please call 88-CRIME.
