Death of 3 Year Old Pinal County Girl Under Investigation

On Nov 19 at 6:20 a.m., Pinal County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call from a caregiver of a 3-year-old female who reported the child was in medical distress and she was driving the child to a hospital. Deputies and paramedics made contact with the woman near Amarillo Valley Road and Century Road, where she had pulled to the side of the road at the dispatcher’s request.

They found the child in full code and began emergency life-saving measures. The child was transported by ground to a local emergency room where continued life-saving efforts were unsuccessful. The child died in the emergency room.

The child’s death is being investigated by PCSO Persons Crimes detectives. The child lived with her natural mother and two other adult females at a home on N. Ralston Road near the town of Maricopa. Three other children lived at the home as well. They have all been removed from the home by the Dept. of Child Safety.
