Historic Avondale turns into a Winterfest on Saturday, December 5, with Santa, snow, ferris wheel rides, shopping, holiday light show, live ice sculpturing in the street, entertainment, food trucks and more.
This free, family-fun holiday event takes place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Historic Avondale, along Western Avenue (495 E. Western Avenue, Avondale). Come enjoy the holiday festivities, see the lights, shop and support the unique boutiques, restaurants and artist gallery with your friends and family in historic Avondale.
A musical light show in Sernas Plaza will also be a featured spotlight all season long. Sernas Plaza and Western Avenue will be lit up, and three large decorated holiday trees will blink in sync to festive holiday music. The synchronized tree lights will be up throughout the holiday season; weekends Fridays through Sundays, beginning November 20.
“OUT & ABOUT” is a series of free events, OUT in Avondale each month. These events are ABOUT community, and range from block parties, concerts, movies, and seasonal holiday theme events.
