Arizona DPS Awarded Over $320k Federal Grant

The Department of Public Safety has received a total of $322,372 in federal grant monies for fiscal year 2016 from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS).

The Department will utilize the monies to help pay for overtime expenditures incurred during special details for DUI enforcement, DUI training, seatbelt/child safety seat enforcement, speed enforcement, aggressive driving enforcement and distracted driving enforcement.

A portion of the monies will also be utilized to purchase speed enforcement equipment and DUI enforcement equipment.
