Meetings of the City of Tucson Charter Review Committee have resumed. The next meeting will be held Monday, Jan. 11, 2016.
The Charter Review Committee is comprised of 15 members who are registered voters of the City of Tucson. Their task is to review and make recommendations regarding possible amendments to the Tucson Charter.
The Mayor and Council directed that the review should include, but is not limited to, those sections of the Charter relating to the method and manner of the nomination and election of the mayor and council members; and how can the City raise taxes to save it from bankruptcy.
