Members of the Pima Regional Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT), Pima Regional Bomb Squad (PRBS) and Search and Rescue are en route to a remote part of Arivaca, at the request of U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
While U.S. Customs and Border Protection was attempting to apprehend a group of individuals, one fled into an abandoned mine. Due to the many potential dangers associated with abandoned mines and fleeing subjects, they requested the available technologies used by Pima County’s specialized units.
