Tucson man arrested for Fox tags
Xavier Chavez, age 21,has been identified as the Fox Theater tagger. On February 4, 2016, the Chavez was located and apprehended.
He was booked into the Pima County Jail on a Class 5 Felony charge of Criminal Damage.
On April 26, 2015 the historic Fox Theatre was vandalized with graffiti that cost approximately $3,000.00 in clean up costs. Officers from the Tucson Police Department have worked to identify, locate and hold the person or persons responsible for the damage.
This month, officers developed information making Chavez a possible suspect. Officers learned the same suspect was responsible for other graffiti throughout the City of Tucson and Pima County for an additional $1,600.00 in clean up costs.
