Peoria Police Looking For Armed Robbers

On February 9, 2016 at approximately 3:47 p.m., two unknown suspects entered the Safeway Store at 12320 North 83rd Avenue, Peoria. One suspect entered the store via the north entrance, while the other suspect entered the store via the south entrance.

The first suspect walked directly to the teller window of the U.S. Bank inside the store and presented a demand note to the teller. The note indicated the suspect was armed. The victim teller gave the suspect a known amount of U.S. currency.

The other suspect remained inside the store during the robbery and acted as a “look out” during the incident. Both suspects exited the store simultaneously and were last observed leaving northbound on foot.

The incident was captured on video surveillance and the suspect descriptions are as follows:

Suspect one: White male, 20-25 years of age, 6’0”-6’2”, 160-170 lbs, thin build, dirty blonde hair, and a scruffy beard. He was wearing black athletic shoes, blue jeans, grey long sleeved shirt, Arizona Cardinals hat and sunglasses.

Suspect two: White male, 20-25 years of age, 5’8”-5’10”, 150-160 lbs, thin build, brown hair and tattoo sleeves on both arms. He was wearing white athletic shoes, white socks, black baggy shorts, black t-shirt with green skull graphic, black baseball hat and white sunglasses.
