YCSO Seeking Suspects In Apparent Kidnapping

YCSO detectives have confirmed they located the missing mother and her son at a home in the 500 block of N Broadway – Clarkdale – The stolen Dodge Charger was found floating in the Verde River a few miles from the Broadway home – see  photo below–The car had been rented by the homeowner at the Village Drive location.

Evidence technicians are on scene now and expect to recover the vehicle soon. Detectives have arrested a male suspect residing at the Broadway home for his involvement in the car theft – his booking photo and ID will be updated shortly. It does appear this suspect has some involvement with the mother allegedly kidnapped this morning and was present during the altercation on Village Drive in Cottonwood.

This part of the investigation remains active as there may have been an altercation between the suspect and female before the Dodge Charger was stolen.

The Dodge Neon was located near the Broadway home in Clarkdale..  Additional arrests are possible…..YCSO appreciates your patience as detectives were sorting out the information throughout the day – There will likely be one additional update late this afternoon.

Currently the  YCSO is on scene in the 2500 block of Village Drive, Cottonwood , regarding an apparent kidnapping incident that occurred around 6:00 AM this morning. Detectives are seeking help from the public in locating the victims, suspects and 2 vehicles involved. Please call 911 to report any information –

SUSPECT VEHICLE: GRY 2016 DODGE CHARGER FLORIDA LICENSE BPV4583 with broken driver’s side window. Vehicle has been entered into a national crime data base as stolen.

SUSPECT: UNK HISP/MALE FELON WHO IS ARMED WITH A SHOTGUN & DANGEROUS –

VICTIM: Possible first name of Samantha – unknown last name – in her 30’s, was forced into the Dodge Charger at gunpoint.

The suspect vehicle may be in the company of a SILVER DODGE NEON, unknown license plate. The Neon may contain 2 adult males and a 14-year-old male who was apparently kidnapped during the confrontation. The 14-year-old is the son of ‘Samantha’ who was forced into the stolen Dodge Charger before being driven away. Detectives are working to identify these suspects and updates will be provided as soon as possible.

Suspects are considered armed and dangerous. Suspects could possibly be in the area – Cottonwood and Camp Verde. Do NOT attempt to apprehend. Call 911 to report any suspect/vehicle sightings. Case number 16-006469.
