Drug Deal Leads To Shooting Near UA

Tucson Police responded to a shooting at approximately 10:00 p.m. Monday night, near the University of Arizona campus on the corner of Campbell Avenue and Second Street. Police are searching for three suspects in what is believed to be a drug-related incident.

The suspects reportedly know the female victim who is currently in serious condition.

The African American suspects may be driving a maroon sedan.

According to the Arizona Daily Wildcat, TPD responded to a call for a shooting in the 1000 block of North Campbell Avenue directly across the street from the UAPD police station. University Police officers “heard and responded to cries for help and then rendered first aid to the shot female until the Tucson Fire Department arrived on the scene.”
