Do You Know This Tucson Armed Robbery Suspect?

The Tucson Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a male connected to several armed robberies and a shooting.
On January 26, 2016, at 2:37 a.m., Officers from Operations Division East responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Quik Mart located at 5860 East 22nd Street.

Upon arrival, officers learned an unknown male entered the store with a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. The male was given an undisclosed amount of money and fled the area on foot. The male was described as approximately 5’5” and wearing a white with black “skull” mask, a black hooded sweatshirt with red and white design, blue jeans and white shoes. The clerk was not injured.

At 02:51 a.m., Officers from Operations Division Midtown responded to a report of a shooting at the Quik Mart located at 1204 North Alvernon Way. Officers arrived on scene and learned a male matching a similar description from the armed robbery at the Quick Mart at 5860 East 22nd Street entered the store with a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. The male then discharged the handgun, striking the clerk. The male fled the area on foot. Members from the Tucson Fire Department responded and the clerk was transported to Banner University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives from the Tucson Police Department Robbery Unit continued the investigation. They learned the male may also be linked to another armed robbery that occurred on January 22, 2016. On that date, around 1:15 a.m., officers from Operations Division East responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Quik Mart located at 7667 East Escalante Road. In that incident, a male with a similar description entered the store with a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. The male was given an undisclosed amount of money and fled the area on foot. No one was injured during that incident.
