Phoenix Police Still Looking For Dead Man’s Son

On February 28, 2016 at 7:15 PM, the resident near the 2700 block of E. Cambridge arrived home after being out of state for more than a week. When he arrived he discovered his brother, Wynton Elrod was at the residence which was unusual, as he had been evicted by his father, Craig Elrod, age 62, from the home in the proceeding weeks for drug abuse.

Wynton lied about his father’s whereabouts when confronted by his brother and he appeared to have been driving the father’s Fiat. The caller began to question his brother and look for their father. Meanwhile, Wynton fled the scene in an orange Fiat and the father’s body was located in a bathroom of the home. The victim was obvious deceased and appears to have been for several days. The victim had sustained trauma to the upper body.

Police are looking for Wynton Elrod and they believe he is in possession of his father’s orange Fiat. Wynton is a known heroin addict and is considered armed and dangerous.
