On Wednesday March 16, 2016, the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division was assisted by the Tucson Police Department SWAT team and patrol units in serving a felony arrest warrant and search warrant at an address in the 8400 block of S Hunnic Drive in Tucson.
These warrants were obtained based on information developed by investigators in relation to the homicide in Whetstone on Tuesday.
As a result, 41 year old Armando Aurelio Dominguez was taken into custody and booked into the Pima County Jail on charges of 1st Degree Murder and Illegal Possession of a Firearm (convicted felon) and is being held on a $1,000,000.00 bond.
The victim has not as yet been publically identified pending notification of next of kin, believed to reside in El Paso, Texas.
Dominguez is pending extradition back to Cochise County to stand trial.
