On February 12, 2016, a jury found Juan Salas-Paredes guilty of kidnapping and five counts of sexual conduct with a minor. Salas-Paredes was the now 16-year-old victim’s mother’s live in boyfriend.
When the victim was between 8 and 10-years-old the defendant repeatedly sexually abused him.
On March 21, 2016, Salas-Paredes was sentenced by Superior court Judge Scott Rash to three life sentences plus 45 years in the Arizona Department of Corrections.
