This week, Governor Ducey appointed Kristin Culbertson to the Maricopa County Superior Court. Culbertson’s appointment was made to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Joseph Sciarrotta, Jr.
Culbertson is a shareholder at the law firm of Littler Mendelson. She practices in a variety of labor and employment matters arising under federal and state law, including those involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, unfair competition, trade secrets, employee privacy and public pensions. Culbertson has trial experience in Arizona courts and throughout the country.
Culbertson previously served as a judicial law clerk to Judge Paul Rosenblatt of the United States District Court for the District of Arizona.
Culbertson is an member of Littler Mendelson’s Women’s Leadership Initiative. She also provides pro bono legal services to a non-profit organization that helps indigent pregnant women secure resources and education, and to a faith-based charity that helps pregnant women and new mothers.
Culbertson graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University in 1998, with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. She received her law degree from Arizona State University College of Law in 2000.
