From The Cruz Bus To The Trump Train In 10 Short Steps

Trump Weighs In On Western States Land Grab Battle -- In a recent op-ed for the Reno Gazette-Journal, Donald Trump the Republican presidential front-runner attacks the Bureau of Land Management and the Obama

Like many, I waited for the day that Ted Cruz would run in this election. I saw him as The White Knight of Constitutional Conservatism who would ride in on his mighty steed, Principle, and slay the dragon that is Hillary with his lance of truth.

However, ten specific things have gotten me off the Cruz bus onto the Trump train:

  1. Ted Cruz is possibly ineligibility to hold the office. A possibility is enough for me. We cannot afford any such possible weakness that can be exploited by the Democrats. Why are all of his records sealed?
  2. Heidi Cruz was/is employed by Goldman Sachs. Goldman Sachs is a globalist power intent on buying our government.
  3. Ted Cruz’s campaign is financed by big money insiders. Bernie Sanders disavowed such financing as has Trump. Cruz’s scruples are less than those of Sanders … SANDERS on this point.
  4. Ted Cruz is endorsed by GOP insiders like Jeb Bush.
  5. Ted Cruz is playing the evangelical warrior while leaders in his denomination like Robert Jeffress and Franklin Graham and other evangelical leaders like Phyllis Schlafly deny endorsement. In fact, I don’t find a record where his own pastor has endorsed him. Yet, he is endorsed by the raging Mormon, Glenn Beck. He is also endorsed by Kevin Swanson, a “pastor” who has stated that gays should be killed. Very Jesus-like of you, Ted!
  6. Heidi Cruz helped to pen the document supporting the so-called North American Union while a member of The Council on Foreign Relations.
  7. He has violated his vow of marriage and had (is having?) sexual affairs with other women. If he had any decency, he would leave the campaign and take care of his family. This reminds me of a certain former President from Arkansas. By the way, Billy and Al Gore were also Southern Baptist like good ‘ol Ted.
  8. Ted Cruz paid Carly Fiorina’s PAC $500k with no clear reason why. The only logical reason was to funnel “hush money” to Fiorina staffer, Sarah Igurs Flores, who is an alleged Cruz mistress. Again, such underhanded antics would drive a principled man to address them openly and would sink most candidates.
  9. Ted Cruz, through his team, authorized the lies about Ben Carson leaving the race in Iowa and his campaign purchased the picture of Melania Trump and passed it to Liz Mair and the PAC she runs. And, on this point, Ted Cruz and his lackeys are working with the GOPe to move delegates to his column after the votes have been tallied. Call this savvy if you will or a “brilliant ground game.” Honest people call it theft at the worst and underhanded, sore-loser tactics at best. Grandpa would say, “Just because you can do a thing doesn’t mean you ought to do a thing.”
  10. Ted Cruz has no chance at winning the nomination except through a brokered convention; thus denying the American people their clear choice. A principled man would suspend his campaign so the presumptive nominee could begin to build his case against the Democrat nominee and rally the American electorate that is undecided to our cause. A brokered convention gives our candidate around 100 days to campaign against the Democrat nominee. Ted Cruz is being very selfish and is robbing us of valuable time to campaign against Hillary and Sanders.

If Ted thinks the GOP establishment will swing the convention to him, he’s crazy. It’s already on the record through Scott Walker that the brokered nominee will be somebody not yet running. I speculate Paul Ryan (and any statements from Ryan that he is not running is clear confirmation that he is willing to be the nominee or to be on another Romney/Ryan ticket). I suspect that it will be Ryan/Kasich on the ticket if the convention goes to a brokered status.

Maybe Ted has been promised a seat on the SCOTUS as a reward for being the spoiler. I suspect that or another office like Attorney General. Ted is playing political games like the politician he is. Ted Cruz is a lawyer and career politician who has been in the back pocket of the GOPe all this time.

Any scenario other than Trump will result in a win for Hillary (which the GOPe wants; again, this is on the record). The #NeverTrump sourpusses are apoplectic because the people will not engage in group-think and fall upon their knees and worship THE PARTY above all. They say they stand on “Principled Conservatism” and cannot support Trump because his conservative bona fides and party pedigree aren’t up to their standards. Yet, they will throw mindless and unprincipled support to a man that is violating in actual, real-time, everything they say they support.

#NeverTrump is not about principle. It’s about the GOPe stirring up a temper tantrum. It’s “divide and conquer” at it’s best. Obama and the Democrats couldn’t do it better; and they are laughing their little commie heads off – as are the GOPe. The #NeverTrump movement is all about the fact that a man has emerged who has never been a politician and is now “taking the lunch money” of their anointed nominee, which, for most of them, was either Marco Rubio or now, Ted Cruz.

If Hillary is the nominee, over 1/3 of Sanders’ supporters have stated they WILL NOT vote for Hillary. Thus, Trump wins in a landslide. If Sanders is the nominee, Trump will bury him in the debates (as he will with Hillary, too) and Trump wins.

Trump is not perfect. However, he is transparent and honest. I’ll take that over an ideologue any day. We have had over 30 years of “conservative promises” and “liberal/progressive” results. Anyone who says Mr. Trump is not policy-minded and clear has not read his website, listened to the interviews he’s done, watched the debates, or listened to his speeches.

#NeverTrump says he donated to Democrats and changed positions on abortion policy.

I say, “So what?” I would rather have a man who honestly admitted to buying influence over a man who sells his. Furthermore, the abortion issue is not even in the top 50 of critical issues facing this nation. We flubbed that one. Deal with it. It will be 25 years before Roe v Wade is overturned; if it ever is. In the meantime, we are going bankrupt, being invaded by foreign religious crusaders, watching our currency and jobs be decimated, and living under the feudal oligarchy of the political ruling class.

Cruz is being propped up by the media and GOPe to be a spoiler and throw the convention into a brokered status and give the nomination to their puppet (either Romney or Ryan). Cruz thinks he can gain the nomination by holding the GOP to the letter of the law in rule 40. Fat chance. The fix is in and “brilliant Ted” is either dumber than we expect or he is in on the game. I vote for the second option.

The American people (who have a nose to smell BS after these 30 years of GOPe lies) will not elect Cruz even if he is nominated. Let’s say neither candidate reaches 1237. The ballots are cast and Ted wins. The people will remember his maneuverings to wrangle delegates, alleged affairs, ties to big banks and establishment roots. Hillary will make sure of it. Ted looses the race. America looses her future.

Neither will they elect Mitt Romney nor Paul Ryan nor John Kasich. If the GOPe puts anyone in front of the American People,  other than Trump, they can look to have Hillary. And, again, the GOPe are on the record saying they are comfortable with that result.

Why? Why would the GOPe prefer Hillary over Trump? It’s clear. Hillary, Ryan, Romney, Kasich, and Cruz are all playing for the same team. The only true match-up that will give the American people a real contrast is a contest between Sanders and Trump.

Frankly, if the establishment power elite of both parties steals the nomination from Trump and Sanders, I hope they form a joint, third party ticket just for the pure spite of it.

But that will not happen. Sanders has already gone on the record that he will support Hillary. So, maybe, just maybe, Mr. Trump and Mr. Sessions would rise to the enormous challenge and Mr. Trump would run as an independent … and win. This would make him the only President not belonging to a political party since George Washington.

This nation is on the verge of complete collapse. This is fact. This is our last chance. We have played “kick the can” too long. We have trusted career politicians too long. The time is far past to play games like Ted Cruz and his gang is playing.

God save these United States.
