On April 8, 4th graders from all around the Florence Unified School District teamed up with the University of Arizona and Project Wet at Anthem Parkside to learn about varying aspects of Arizona’s water resources.
Since 1984, the Project Wet Foundation has dedicated itself to the mission of reaching children, parents, teachers and communities of the world with water education. Our students investigate groundwater, the water cycle, the importance of Arizona’s watersheds and methods to conserve water in their daily living.
Florence Superintendent Dr. Amy Fuller stated, “The natural resources in Arizona have been a topic of discussion since our state was creating. The opportunity to work with the University of Arizona to help our student understand Arizona’s resources was great. The Florence Unified School District thanks them for their continued support.”
