Pinal County Public Works is announcing a road closure for the Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway on Saturday, April 16, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The road will be closed from White and Parker Road to Antone Street.
A detour will be available for drivers taking the Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway.
•Drivers heading west on the Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway will turn right onto Antone Street. Then a left turn on Carlyle Road. A right turn onto Murphy Road. Turning left onto Honeycutt Road. A left turn onto White and Parker Road.
•Drivers heading east on the Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway will turn left onto White and Parker Road. Right turn onto Honeycutt Road. Right turn onto Murphy Road. A left onto Carlyle Road and then a right onto Antone Road.
The detour length is just over 11 miles long. Signs will help drivers navigate through the detour. All drivers are asked to slow down through this detour since much of it is through a residential area.
This closure will allow Pinal County’s contractor to pave the highway at the Santa Cruz Wash Crossing. Once the paving operation is complete, the large detour will be removed and traffic will be routed back to the shorter detour road between the Highway and the railroad tracks.
