Buckeye Man Struck By Lightning While Riding Horse

A 31-year-old Buckeye man was struck by lightning while riding his horse Saturday afternoon, and is now in serious condition.

The man was riding with other men in Rainbow Valley. One of the other men was thrown from his horse after the strike, according to authorities.

The lightning caused the 31-year-old to go into cardiac arrest, and the second rider, after recovering from his fall, began administering CPR, according to authorities the Arizona Republic.
