The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office has identified a suspect in the shooting of Deputy Wisda that took place in the early morning on Saturday May 7th in Tempe.
Sheriff’s detectives were following up on leads May 10th around 10pm in the area of University Dr and the Loop 101. Detectives went to an address in Tempe, AZ to question a possible suspect involved in the shooting. When detectives entered the residence they attempted to speak with a male who moments later took his own life.
The suspect was later identified as Robert Walesa.
