One person has been arrested by Detectives from the DPS led Arizona Vehicle Theft Task Force following the service of three search warrants in Tempe and Mesa. It’s all part of an ongoing investigation regarding multiple stolen vehicles, trailers and motorcycles.

Andrew “Mustang Andy” Reynolds, 40, was booked on numerous charges including Theft of Means of Transportation, Possession of a Stolen Weapon, Drug charges and Prohibited Possessor.

The search warrants served May 25, uncovered so called “chop shop” operations at both locations. Weapons were seized along with some personal use drugs. More arrests are pending. Members of the group being investigated are tied to or associated with white supremacist prison gangs.

“The tragic murder of Curtis Fish in the San Tan Valley earlier this month closes his involvement in the case and gave our detectives some valuable leads to the rest of the group involved in this auto theft ring. It’s important to note this is an ongoing investigation with additional suspects that have to be identified,” said Captain Sean Carney of the Arizona Vehicle Theft Task Force.

The Arizona Vehicle Theft Task Force is funded by the Arizona Auto Theft Authority.
