The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office is reporting grass fires from lightning strikes in White Tail Canyon, Portal Peak, and Highway 80 (two to three miles from New Mexico Border).
The fire in the area of White Tail Canyon near San Simon that started at approximately 6:15 pm today.
There are currently no homes being evacuated.
State Land has land and air support attacking the fire.
