Marana Police are investigating the discovery of a body on Wednesday, June 8, in a desert area near Cañada del Oro Wash and North Thornydale Road. There is a large vacant piece of land south of the Target store.
Police say the man’s body appears to have been in the area for a few days. They have no information about the cause of death at this time.
The body was located in an eroded portion of the bank a little over 110 feet from a homeless campsite. Police have been unable to identify the man.
Sgt. Chris Warren of the Marana Police Department says the body of a man was located around 11:30 a.m. by a person walking in the area. No other details were immediately available.
