Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio says that Sheriff’s detectives arrested Leonardo Ramos-Cruz, age 32, for 1 count of Manslaughter and 2 counts of Endangerment today.
Just after 12am on June 19th, 2016 Leonard Ramos-Cruz’s vehicle went off the road at Horseshoe Dam Road near mile post 3.8 with 3 other occupants in the vehicle. The truck went airborne into a ravine and rolled multiple times, ejecting one of the passengers Jesus Ochoa-Garcia who sustained a fatal injury. Leonardo, Maria Lopez-Espinoza age 53 and Rogelio Ochoa-Garcia age 45 were all flown to the hospital with serious injuries.
Impairment and speed were both factors in this fatal accident.
