MCSO Removes Child From Violent Domestic Situation

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic violence call just after 2:00 p.m. in the area of Crismon and Billings Street.

When deputies arrived they learned a man was in the home with a young child and was not coming out.  Deputies attempted to talk with the suspect about the domestic violence charge, however the man stated he would not come out and was threatening his life if deputies came into the residence.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office deployed its Swat unit to get the child out of the home safely and offer help to the suspect, the negotiators continued talking with the suspect after the child was removed from the home.

Shortly before 7:30 the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office took 21 year old  Jason Talavera into custody, the suspect in today’s barricade situation without incident.
