For the second time this month, Pima County deputies have responded to a call regarding a suspicious man trying to lure young boys.
On Monday, at approximately 6:42 p.m., Pima County deputies responded to the 2600 block of West Capistrano Road for the report of suspicious activity. Responding deputies learned that a man had attempted to lure two 10-year-old boys into his car. The boys were outside when a man drove up and told them he would give them five dollars to get into his car. Both boys refused and the man drove off. The man was described as Caucasian, in his 40s or 50s, with blonde hair. He was seen wearing a U of A baseball hat. It is believed the man may have been driving a newer model, gray Volkswagen Beetle.
On July 14, 2016, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Pima County deputies responded to the 7300 block of South Mule Deer Road for the report of suspicious activity. Responding deputies learned that a man had attempted contact with a 10-year-old boy. The boy was outside in a front yard and the unknown man was across the street, standing near a neighbor’s fence. The man asked the boy several times, to come over to his location across the street. The boy decided not to do as the man asked, went inside his house, and told his mother about the incident. The man was described nearly exactly as the man form the July 18 encounter: Caucasian, with short grey or light colored hair, and some sort of mark on the right side of his face just above his upper lip. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and jeans with holes in them.
