Cheer On More Than 20 Olympians With Tempe Connections

More than 20 Tempe residents, Arizona State University students and alumni will go to the 2016 Rio Olympics this month. They represent 12 different countries and eight sports.

“We congratulate all the dedicated, determined and talented athletes who are competing in the 2016 Summer Olympics,” Tempe Mayor Mark Mitchell said. “We are proud that our city has played a role in helping these athletes, who have come to our city from around the world and represent a dozen countries. Tempe wishes them all well as they compete for their countries at the highest level.”
