The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that just before 9 o’clock Sunday morning a boat, which had just been launched on Lake Pleasant, had what appeared to be an explosion in the engine compartment. On board were four people and two dogs.
Of the four passengers on board, two girls ages 13 and 14 received non-life-threatening injuries from the explosion. Both children were taken to MMC for their injuries.
Sheriff’s detectives are currently investigating the incident.
