The Scottsdale Police Department is requesting help from the public in identifying a suspect who stole an American flag. At around 2:00am on July 27 and July 28, 2016 an unidentified male subject removed the American flag from its pole at the Scottsdale Park Suites, 1251 N Miller Road.
The culprit was captured on surveillance video throwing the flag onto the ground and damaging the light that illuminates the flag pole.
The subject is described as a white male approximately 5’10”, 250 to 275 lbs. He was last seen walking south from the location on Miller Road.
Based on surveillance photos and the incidents occurring on consecutive nights, it is believed that the subject lives in the area.
