On August 21, 2016, shortly before 6:30 p.m., Tucson Police officers responded to a report of a shooting at a residence in the 4700 block of E. Linden St. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim with obvious signs of gunshot trauma.
The officers immediately began rendering aid and summoned paramedics. Members from the Tucson Fire Department responded to the scene a short time later and took over treatment. The male was transported to Banner University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. He was later pronounced deceased at the hospital. His identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
Tucson Police Department detectives responded to the scene to continue the investigation. Preliminary information revealed the victim had been visiting at the residence. Around 6:15 p.m., two Hispanic males known to others at the residence arrived on scene. The victim and the two males had an argument over property. During the course of this argument, the victim was shot. The suspects fled the area in an unknown vehicle and are still outstanding.
