Man Dies In Pima County Dirt Bike Crash Near Wentworth Road

Today, at approximately 10:52 a.m., Pima County deputies responded to a single dirt bike crash near the 12800 block of South Wentworth Road, in the desert area. When deputies arrived, they found a male, 36-year-old Arlyn Van De Mark, who appeared to have crashed on his dirt bike while attempting to jump over a gully.

Mr. Van De Mark, was pronounced dead on scene. He was the only occupant on the vehicle.

The Traffic Unit responded and took over the investigation. Mr. Van De Mark was wearing a helmet and other protective gear. Impairment is not believed to be a factor.

The events leading up to the collision are still under investigation.
