On Sunday, at approximately 8:53 a.m., Pima County deputies responded to a dead body located in the desert area about 10 milles west of I-10 in Avra Valley near the 8000 block of North Dakota Plains Trail.
When deputies arrived, they found a deceased male in an advanced state of decomposition.
The male has not been identified and the cause of death is unknown pending an autopsy scheduled for today.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to call 9-1-1 or 88-Crime.
