
Investigators with the Yuma County Narcotics Task Force (YCNTF)—which is a multi-agency task force comprised of officers and agents from the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office, the Somerton Police Department, the U.S. Border Patrol, and the U.S. Homeland Security Investigations—with the assistance of the Wellton Police Department, served a narcotics search warrant at a residence located in the 10200 block of S. Avenida Compadres in Yuma, Arizona.
The search led to the discovery of approximately 80.7 grams of methamphetamine, narcotic pills, multiple loaded handguns, and paraphernalia consistent with street sales.
The suspect of the search warrant, Alonso Silva, 46, of Yuma, Arizona, fled from Deputies who attempted a traffic stop on his vehicle. Silva is described as a Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes, approximately 6’1” in height and weighing approximately 220 pounds. Silva was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and had a goatee.
He was last seen operating a red 1983 Jeep CJ7 with a tan top, chrome wheels, and a gray primer front end in the area of 32nd Street and Pacific Avenue in Yuma, AZ. Silva may be in possession of a handgun and is considered armed and dangerous.
During the course of the investigation, the YNTF have identified a second suspect who is wanted in connection to the narcotics search warrant.
The second suspect, Ramiro Silva, 47, of Yuma, is described as:
- Hispanic male
- Aapproximately 6’3” in height
- Weighing 200 pounds.
- Ramiro Silva may be in possession of a handgun and is considered armed and dangerous.
The red 1983 CJ-7 Jeep has been located and seized.
On Friday September 9, 2016 at approximately 4:00 A.M. Alonso Silva arrived at the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office to speak to YNTF Investigators about his involvement in this case. YNTF Investigators are no longer considering him a suspect.
Ramiro Silva remains outstanding and is considered armed and dangerous.
