Douglas CBP Officers Seize $102K in Marijuana

Officers removed 183 packages of marijuana from a smuggling vehicle, including those taken from the spare tire area of the trunk

TUCSON, Ariz. – Customs and Border Protection officers at the Raul Hector Castro Port of Entry in Douglas, Arizona, arrested a 25-year-old man from Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico after finding marijuana in his Ford Mustang on Oct. 6th.A CBP narcotics-detection canine alert led officers to find nearly 204 pounds of the drug, worth approximately $102,000, hidden in various interior and exterior areas of the vehicle.

Officers seized the marijuana and vehicle, and turned the subject over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations
