On Tuesday, October 18, 2016, just after 10:00 p.m., Pima Regional Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT), along with Pima County detectives executed a search warrant at an address in the 3500 block of South Gold Flower Avenue.
Two suspects, 20-year-old Ramon Duran-Avila, and his cousin, 19-year-old Lizardo Duran-Rojas, were taken into custody and have been charged with 1st Degree Murder and Weapons Misconduct. These charges are related to a shooting incident which occurred Sunday night, leaving one man dead.
The victim has been identified as 45-year-old John Murray. This investigation is ongoing and information will be released as it becomes available.
