Douglas Drug Smuggling Failure Thanks To CBP K9

More than 300 packages of marijuana were discovered, removed and seized by CBP officers at the Port of Douglas.

A 36-year-old Mexican man, living in the U.S. as a Legal Permanent Resident Alien, learned the hard way on Nov. 29 that it is almost impossible to sneak drugs past a Customs and Border Protection narcotics-detection canine.

CBP officers at the Raul Hector Castro Port of Entry in Douglas, Arizona, arrested the driver of a Chevrolet truck after the canine’s alert led to the discovery of more than 380 pounds of marijuana hidden throughout the truck, as well as inside the tires.
