Carr Canyon Fire Burns Near Sierra Vista

Local, state, and federal fire units responded to the Carr Cayon Fire on Saturday, according to the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office.

An information center has been established at Carr Canyon Road and Highway 92. Non-residents are advised to avoid the area.

Residents in Carr Canyon were advised that they need to be ready to evacuate. Voluntary evacuations are in place at this time.

Carr Canyon is about 10 miles south of Sierra Vista, in the Coronado National Forest.
