Prescott Attorney Suspended After DUI, Hit And Run

The Presiding Disciplinary Judge of the Arizona Supreme Court issued an order placing Michael P. Thieme, of Prescott, on interim suspension.

Following his trial, Thieme was found guilty of DUI, criminal damage, and hit and run after striking a highway fixture. As required by Court Rule, the State Bar Arizona filed a notice of felony and certified copy of conviction with the Arizona Supreme Court on Oct. 21, 2016.

In an effort to prevent immediate and substantial harm to his clients and the public, Thieme was placed on an interim suspension while the Bar initiates formal disciplinary proceedings.

Michael P. Thieme was ordered to notify current clients of his interim suspension. In addition, he is barred from accepting any new cases.

Thieme’s interim suspension was effective Dec. 14, 2016.
