
On January 21, 2017, a vehicle burglary was reported to the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office resulting in the arrest of Charles Kralewski, age 27, and Nicholas Villanueva, age 23, both from Casa Grande.
The victim stated they heard their dog barking in the early morning hours and went to investigate, but did not see anything unusual outside. The victim later returned to their vehicle, located in the in the 10000 block of Scott Drive in Casa Grande, and noticed the center console was open and items were moved. They also noticed four shotguns, along with their cases, and hunting gear missing from the backseat.
Deputies from the Pinal County Crime Suppression Team assisted with the investigation and were able to locate suspects a few blocks away on North Little Oak Drive. A camouflage backpack was located in a trailer at the residence, which was reported stolen by the victim. Nicholas Villanueva was arrested at this address and led Deputies to the home of Charles Kralewski on North Geronimo Drive, where the weapons and other stolen items were located.
The homeowner, (Charles Kralewski’s parents) gave consent to search the residence. There was a storage room containing Christmas decorations where the stolen items and weapons were located.
Kralewski, and Villanueva were booked into the Pinal County Jail for burglary, possession of stolen property and misconduct involving weapons.
