TPD Seeks UofA Area Sexual Assault Kidnapping Suspect

The Tucson Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in attempting to identify the pictured sexual assault suspect.

On March 10, 2017, just after 2:00 a.m., a female in her late teens was walking through a parking lot in the 900 block of East Speedway Boulevard when she was approached by an unknown male. The male suspect grabbed the victim and brandished a large knife, threatening to harm her if she didn’t follow his directions. The suspect then forced the victim to walk with him westbound on Speedway and then northbound on Euclid. During their walk, the suspect sexually assaulted the victim multiple times in different areas of darkness. The suspect eventually released the victim and fled the area.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic or Native American male, approximately 30 years old, 5’5”, thin build, bony face with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white tank top, black jacket and blue jeans.

Video surveillance was obtained by TPD from a restaurant in the parking lot where the victim was approached. Anyone with information about who this suspect may be is encouraged to call 88-CRIME. You can remain anonymous.
