Customs and Border Protection officers arrested a 32-year-old Mexican man after finding approximately $335,000 worth of cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine and oxycodone in his Chevrolet sedan at the Port of Nogales’ DeConcini crossing Tuesday.
After officers referred the man for further inspection of his vehicle, a CBP narcotics-detection canine alerted officers to a speaker box in the trunk. Inside, they found more than 2 pounds of cocaine, nearly 15 pounds of heroin, almost 17 pounds of meth, and a package containing 1,000 oxycodone pills.
CBP officers seized the drugs and vehicle, and turned the subject over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
