TUCSON, Ariz. – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Raul Hector Castro Port in Douglas, Arizona, arrested a 30-year-old Mexican woman last week after finding more than 300 pounds of marijuana throughout her Chevy van.
A CBP narcotics-detection canine alert led officers to find numerous bundles of marijuana hidden throughout the vehicle’s interior and exterior. Officers seized the drugs, worth an estimated $155,000, and vehicle. The driver was turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
