Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office deputies in July of 2017, were dispatched to a location on Pipeline Ranch Road outside of Congress, AZ., regarding a burglary. The reporting party told deputies 2 suspicious people, a man and woman, were seen on the neighbor’s unoccupied property and described the truck they used to drive away. When the reporting party inspected the neighbor’s home, it was discovered the front window of the residence had been broken and removed.
During the investigation at the property, deputies located a backpack that apparently had fallen out of the suspect’s truck. The pack contained clothing, a pry bar, and knife. The home itself had been completely ransacked.
Eventually deputies matched the truck description to one owned by 46-year-old Corbin Mooney of Wickenburg.

In August of this year, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) deputies were notified of a burglary on property adjacent to residence burglarized in July which was still under investigation. Items reported stolen was a ‘Cat’ brand trailer generator, valued at $10,000, and two 1986 all-terrain vehicles. Deputies compared notes from both burglaries and determined suspect Mooney was likely involved in the cases. Total loss in both burglaries exceeded $12,000
On September 22, 2017, deputies located and interviewed Corbin Mooney in Wickenburg and he admitted participating in the burglaries. Mooney was arrested and booked at the Camp Verde Detention Center on charges including Trespassing, Burglary and Theft. Based on the interview and information developed during the investigation, a second suspect was identified as 43-year-old Jaynne Cummins who was possibly located in Salome, AZ.
On September 27, 2017, YCSO deputy’s with assistance from the La Paz County Sheriff’s Office, located a small compound off Salome Road in Salome. 2 persons were detained, but Cummins could not be found. During a check of the location, YCSO deputies found the stolen generator (see photo) and the 2 stolen all-terrain vehicles. All items had been intentionally hidden from view. A search warrant was served and the property was recovered. Quantities of methamphetamine were also seized. Deputies developed information regarding Cummings’ possible whereabouts and a vehicle she might be using.
The suspect vehicle information was shared with area police agencies. Shortly thereafter, DPS troopers located the vehicle which eventually led to finding Cummings inside a Congress area business. Deputies arrived and arrested Cummings who admitted to only partial involvement in both burglaries.
Cummings was booked into the Camp Verde Detention Center and remains in-custody on a $7500 bond. Her charges include Burglary, Theft and Trespassing.
Mooney has since been released by the court on a promise to appear.
