Third Presumptive Positive Case Of Coronavirus Found In Pima County

TUCSON – On Sunday, Pima County Health Department officials announced a third presumptive positive case of coronavirus. According to officials, the patient is an older adult who is currently recovering in a hospital.

Pima County Health Direct Dr. Bob England said the “case marks the first positive result in Pima County as a result of commercial testing performed by a private laboratory.”

A sample will be sent to the Arizona State Public Health Laboratory for confirmation of coronavirus.

The second Pima County resident was presumptively diagnosed with coronavirus on Friday, March 13.
