Tow Truck Driver Runs Stop Sign In Picture Rocks, Motorcyclist Killed

On June 14, 2016, at approximately 9:15 p.m., Pima County deputies responded to a collision involving a truck and a motorcycle driven by 41-year-old Michael Robert. When deputies arrived, they learned a truck towing a trailer ran a stop sign while traveling westbound on Marana Trico Road and collided with a motorcycle traveling southbound on Trico Road.

The Traffic Unit responded and took over the investigation. Mr. Robert was pronounced dead on scene. The driver of the truck, 76-year-old David Huntley, remained on scene. Charges may be pending based upon the outcome of the investigation. Impairment is not believed to be a factor in the collision.
