Drowning Victim Pulled From Patagonia Lake

Cochise County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue Assist Santa Cruz County With Drowning at Patagonia Lake

On Friday June 17, 2016 at approximately 2:30 p.m., the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office was advised of a possible drowning at Patagonia Lake in Santa Cruz County.

Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue divers responded to the lake and began searching for a 24 year old male who reportedly jumped off some rocks on the west side of the park into the lake and did not surface.

The search was suspended on Friday night and resumed Saturday morning before the body was located at approxiamtely 12:15 pm. The body was turned over to the Pima County Medical Examiners Office.
