Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an accidental shooting of an elderly man this week. Deputies responded to a business parking lot located in the 1800 block of E Northern Avenue.
Upon arrival, deputies observed employees of the business rendering aid to a male subject lying on the ground in the parking lot. Northern Arizona Consolidated Fire District personnel responded and started treating William Conrad Huldack, 77, of Kingman. Huldack suffered a gunshot wound to his lower leg. Investigations determined that as Huldack was exiting his vehicle, his holstered gun on his hip fired one round. Apparently, Huldack’s seatbelt struck his gun causing his weapon to fire as he was exiting his vehicle.
Huldack was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center.
